The contribution, which will be utilised in the Accident & Emergency Department, Clinics & Wards as well as in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Radiology Department consists of:
- Six hydraulic patient transport trolleys/beds with a fifth wheel technology steering system
- Five manual patient transport trolleys

The monies used to procure the equipment were sourced from Zurich Malaysia’s fundraising among employees, agents, intermediaries and partners, and matched by the Z Zurich Foundation. The fundraiser was conducted during Zurich Community Week 2021 from 13 September to 1 October 2021.
In addition, RM8,443 was contributed from Zurich Malaysia’s general takaful business – Zurich General Takaful Malaysia Berhad surplus pool. This is part of the company’s process to contribute its Tabarru’ Fund excess on behalf of their customers to philanthropic or life-saving causes.
“On behalf of the Management and staff of HCTM UKM we are most appreciative of Zurich Malaysia’s efforts in their drive and initiatives, more so at the start of this new year, certainly the donation becomes even more meaningful,” said Prof Dato Dr Razman Jarmin, Director of HCTM UKM.
