What are Unclaimed Moneys?

Any payments that are legally payable but have not been cashed out or claimed by the policyholder/certificate holder or rightful owner for a period of not less than one year from the payment date.

How to check for Unclaimed Moneys?

•  You may check for any unclaimed moneys via the eGUMIS Portal. Click the link below to register and check for any unclaimed moneys. https://egumis.anm.gov.my/register/refunduser

•  If you have any enquiries, you may directly approach the Registrar of Unclaimed Money, Accountant General’s Department of Malaysia.

How to claim the money from the Registrar of Unclaimed Money?

There are two ways in claiming the Unclaimed Moneys from the Registrar of Unclaimed Money:

•   You can submit an online application through https://egumis.anm.gov.my/. You need to register as a user and upload the following required documents.

Individual
- Form UMA-7 via eGUMIS
- A copy of applicant's identity card (both sides)
- A copy of the front page of an active account passbook/bank statement of the applicant (payment will be directly credited into the account).

Note: Tabung Haji Account/Investment Account/Loan Account is not acceptable

- The ORIGINAL confirmation letter from the company/firm which surrendered the Unclaimed Moneys to the Registrar (if the eGUMIS information is different from the applicant's information/owner's identification)

Note: ORIGINAL documents must be submitted to the counter or via registered mail

•   You can submit an application manually by providing the following documents:

Individual
- Original form UMA-7
- A copy of applicant's identity card (both sides)
- A copy of the front page of an active account passbook/bank statement of the applicant (payment will be directly credited into the account).

Note: Tabung Haji Account/Investment Account/Loan Account is not acceptable

- The ORIGINAL confirmation letter from the company/firm which surrendered the Unclaimed Moneys to the Registrar (if the eGUMIS information is different with the applicant's information/owner's identification)

Company
- Form UMA-7 duly completed and signed by the company's officer stating his name and position and affixed with the company/firm official seal.
- A copy certificate of registration of the company/firm and Incorporation on Change of Name Certificate (if any).
- A copy of printed detail unclaimed moneys record from the eGUMIS Portal.
- The original confirmation letter from the company/firm which surrendered the Unclaimed Moneys to the Registrar in a prescribed format.
- A copy of bank statement (active current account) bearing the name and account number of the company/firm (payment will be directly credited into the account).

How to obtain the confirmation letter from Zurich Malaysia?

You may walk in to any of our branches or contact our Call Centre at 1 300 888 622 or send an email to callcentre@zurich.com.my. Please provide your latest address and contact number. The original confirmation letter will be mailed to you within five (5) working days.

Will Zurich Malaysia appoint any intermediaries or agents to claim the Unclaimed Moneys on my behalf?

There are no individuals/firms/companies appointed neither by Zurich Malaysia nor the Ministry of Finance/Registrar of Unclaimed Money to act on behalf as an intermediary or agent for the refund of the Unclaimed Moneys. The refund can be directly checked and applied from the Registrar of Unclaimed Money’s office without having to pay any fees.
